- Writing: Poetry Unit - We wrote our first poems this week: Narrative Poem (free verse style) and a Five Senses Poem (trying to use metaphors and similes).
- Reading: Poetry - we continued to read poetry with partners this week. We specifically read and analyzed Narrative Poems (characters, setting, plot, problem, solutions) and Sensory Poems (Narrative poems using our 5 senses).
- Math: Our unit is Multiplication! The focus in this unit is to learn how to multiply by 10's and doubles (2's, 4's, 5's, and 8's) using a variety of strategies - arrays, equal groups, number line, repeated addition, skip counting, and area models.
- Science: Our unit is Forms of Energy. We will observe heat/thermal, mechanical, sound, and light energy.
- Social Studies: Next week we'll work on Citizenship and Government.
