- Few Reminders: Thursday folders are due back every week. Please, check your child's folder and his/her work. Go over assignments with grades or scores on them with your child. Also, our library day is on Wednesdays. Help your child remember to bring his/her books back to school by Wednesday. Encourage your child to pack his/her own snack and fill water bottle for school each day. This is a simple chore or task they can be responsible for. We want to encourage independence with our kids!
- Math Superstars: This is an excellent source for keeping up with those math skills. Awards and prizes are given out to those students that complete the worksheet each week and turn it in. Begins October 1st and is only available to those students in which at least one parent is a PTA member. Please, become a PTA member by going to this PTA link.
- Reflections Contest: Is your child talented in drawing, dance, photography, literature, film or music?? Then, encourage your child to participate this year in the RRISD Reflections Contest. Starts September 19th and the deadline is November 2nd. For more information Click Here.

- Scholastic Book Orders: It is vital that your child read everyday for 20 - 30 minutes. Ideally, it would be best if you read with your child so that they can practice their fluency, articulation and comprehension skills. Reading STAAR is this year, so keep your child reading!!! Thank you to Ethan H.'s parents, Jayanti's parents, Carsten's parents and Avantika's parents for already submitting their September book order. Last day to order for this month is September 28th.
