- These items are: glue sticks, Expo markers, rulers, and college rule notebook paper (3 hole punched).

What's Been Happening In Class?
- Writing: This week our focus was on writing an expository essay. We spent a day revising and editing our essays and yesterday the kids wrote their final drafts.
- Reading: This week we began our next unit: Informational (nonfiction) Text and Research our PBL project. We took a closer look at some images of Habitat Loss and discussed the issues (problems) surrounding habitat loss.
- Math: Our Geometry/Multiplication/Division unit DCA was today. Our next unit is Fractions (comparing fractions and equivalent fractions). Kids can start reviewing fractions at home by using the "Math Links"
- Science: We started our next unit - Space! This week we studied and learned about the Sun, Earth and the Moon. We discussed and illustrated the Sun, Earth and Moon's relationships to each other (orbits, rotations, day/night). Next week we will construct a model of the Sun, Earth and Moons rotations. Plus, we'll begin researching about the planets in our Solar System. Test is currently scheduled for March 8.
- Social Studies: This unit is Economics (financial literacy). We've learned how Supply and Demand work together and how they effect the price of an item. We also discussed "scarcity" in depth and also how this will effect Demand and Price.
- Enrichment: PBL Activity - Plastic Planet Video & Common Ground Book
