- New Math Unit - Fractions! We'll be studying fractions for the next few weeks. Our unit test will either be on October 28 or October 29. Students can practice their fractions skills and concepts by using the "Math links" on this website.
- Science Test (Unit 2: Changes in Matter & Mixtures) will be on Monday, October 4. There are videos, quizzes and activities in the Science Links tab to help support students prepare at home.
- Spelling Quiz - Students have been placed in a spelling group. The spelling list for these groups is on Schoology in the "Writing" Course - Red Spelling Folder. Our current list focuses on the Long "o" sound patterns. Students are encouraged to practice their words at home. Our next spelling quiz is on Friday, October 8.
- The Elsa England Fall Book Fair is coming! Book Fair will be during the week of October 4 - 8. An email went out today with more information, so check your email!
- Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, October 11. Conferences will be virtual and in 15 minute time slots. If you are unable to attend a virtual conference, don't worry your child's conference form will still be sent home for you. An email was sent out last weekend with an attached Google Document. Sign up on the document. Thanks so much!
- Class Dojo - Check messages and your child's daily participation by tapping on the Class Dojo app each day. I try to post almost daily a Class Story to share a tidbit of what's going on in our classroom for parents. Each month I'll print off a Class Dojo report and send it home in Thursday folders. Thanks so much for all your support.
- Water bottle - Please, make sure your child has a water bottle in his/her backpack everyday. It's super hot outside and the water fountains are not accessible right now (only the refilling stations).
