What's Been Happening In Class?
- Writing: This week our focus was on learning about what makes a "complete sentence" in our writing. We learned that a "complete sentence" must have both a Subject and a Predicate.
- Reading: This week we began using our notefacts to create a way to present our PBL information (Google presentation, Google drawing, tri-fold display board, magazine article). We will finish these projects up next week!!!
- Math: This new unit will primarily focus on perimeter and capacity measurement (gallons, quarts, pints, cups, ounces). Our focus this week was on Time and Elapsed Time. We practiced reading an analog clock, finding the start time or end time using a number line.
- Science: This unit is: Ecosystems, Environments and Food Chains. We spent time learning about all different biomes/ecosystems like deserts, wetlands, grasslands, and forests. We learned about what "interdependency" means and how it relates to the saguaro cactus and the animals that live in the desert.
- Social Studies: How Benjamin Franklin helped our society and impacted our history
- Enrichment: PBL Projects!
