Hi there! My name is Michele Lilleboe. I will be your child’s third grade teacher this year. I come to you as a parent with my own kids who attend Round Rock schools. Hayden is a sophomore (11th grader) and Lucas is a freshman (9th grader). Both are attending McNeil High School.
A little bit about myself, I was born and raised in Corvallis, Oregon. My birthday is August 20th. I attended Oregon State University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture Science and my Master’s Degree in Professional Education. Immediately upon graduation, I landed my first teaching position in Battle Ground, Washington at Prairie High School. I taught Horticulture Science, English Communications and Floral Design. I also advised and coached students in a number of local, state and national academic competitions as one of the school’s FFA advisors for 6 ½ years. I absolutely loved my job.
In January of 2005, my husband, Jason was offered an amazing job opportunity here in Austin that we simply could not refuse. Soon after we were settled in Austin, I quickly became pregnant with our youngest son, Lucas. I was extremely fortunate that I was able to stay home with our two sons while they were young, but the need to teach was beginning to pull on me. Luck found me again when I was hired on as a music teacher for St. Margaret Mary’s Mothers Day Out Program in Cedar Park. I taught 2 – 5 year olds the wonderful world of music and movement for 3 ½ years. This experience was extremely fulfilling, but I felt I needed to get back into a school district and into a classroom of my own again. So, when Lucas entered kindergarten, I became a substitute teacher for RRISD. I’ve spent numerous hours substituting in all elementary grade levels, including two long-term substitute assignments as a TAG teacher and a PPCD teacher at Sommer Elementary. In 2013, I went full time as an Educational Assistant in the SLC Program here at Elsa England. It was an awesome experience in so many ways. Then in 2014, I was blessed with the opportunity to become apart of our Elsa England third grade team!
I am absolutely thrilled to be your child’s third grade teacher this school year. Please, feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns by email or Class Dojo. I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.
